Leadership comprises of a Millwright and Industrial Electrician of which both have a red seal with distinction (5 years apprenticeship in the most intensive engineering environments) What this means, is our capabilities which have enabled us to do variety of Engineering Services:
- Employment: Workmanship of top quality and accuracy would be our fundamental policy as regard to First Time Right.
- Health & Safety: Comply to all requirements of clients, based on Prequal management system
- Training: It has come to our attention, regarding labour shortages, that there is a shortfall in “proper” training and lack of apprenticeship required for NZ. DAABco will embark on changing this, and for that requires both cliental and NZQA approval, which we hope to accomplish. Attendance qualification will not suffice.
- Growth: To achieve would require absolute cliental satisfaction, such as not only services rendered but as a reference of excellence.
- Clientele: Willingness to contract to any firm that requires excellence relating to services offered. Long term contracts would be a benefit to all, however Build Work, Reactive, Maintenance and Standby would be what DAABco envisaged.
Business Background
Contracting as a Service Provider for over 20 years in the Telecommunication sector; Inside Plant; DC Power from source to distribution with live cut overs of equipment, i.e. a complete replacement of old/redundant/EOL and new DC Power within exchanges. Largest systems was 4k A/h supply, using 4x100mmx10mm combined copper bars for main conductors insulated with Air Shrink. Outside Plant; Underground and overhead, which included trenching, laying of pipes, horizontal boring, Optic Fibre floating and splicing and jointing of cables from exchange to distribution. Manhole construction and pole replacement/new was included Over 100 personnel consisting 10 teams of which 3 inside plant and 7 outside. Current position: We are available for all services within South Island, Chatham Island, and Stewart Island.

Humble Beginnings
We started working in the telecommunication electrical industry in 1997, we ventured into places where no other contractor would dare, and completed work in record time with minimal loss
We installed over 1000 units of phone boxes in the heart of one of the most dangerous places in South Africa, and we done it in three months, amazing achievement even by todays standard.
This has paved the way for our devotion to our work in the telecommunication industry and in Industrial Electricity.
